Winter Carnival is Tonight!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday. My students informed me that I haven't been blogging this week. I have no excuses for Tuesday and actually thought I had blogged on Tuesday but I was proven wrong. I was gone on Wednesday and my computer at home is toooooo slow. I had a great experience. I volunteered in my sons' classrooms. One is in kindergarten and the other in 2nd grade. What a treat to see my own kids in school. I was so impressed with their teachers. In fact, it was so fantastic that I plan to do this every year....until they think it's too embarrassing to have mom in school. :) Thursday after school, the teachers played volleyball against the 6th graders. What fun! We used a beach ball this year. I have to admit, I still had trouble hitting it. But all of us had a lot of fun and the 6th graders were great sports. They do think they won but as I recall no score was kept. I think they want to challenge the teachers in kickball next. I better start working out!
We have had a lot of kids sick. Rest up this weekend and I hope everyone is on the mend for next week. Remember, after next week, we have a whole week off for Spring Break! I'm very excited for this as are most of the kids--perhaps all of the kids.
All of the students are doing a good job of staying on task and getting their work done. Mid-terms did come home on Wednesday. If you have any questions, please call. Remember, if you have been absent it is up to you to get your make-up work from me. It's important to stay on top of this as missing work really brings down grades.
