Class Celebration--Dec. 22

On Tuesday, December 22, we will be making candy trains. Each child will need to bring 2 full size candy bars (not king size). Snickers, Milky Ways, and Three Muskateers work best. Everyone will also need to cover an 18 by 18 in. piece of cardboard with foil to carry the train. If you would be able to donate frosting, rope licorice, pinwheel candies (red/white or green/white mints), stick pretzels, and small candy to help decorate the trains, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your help.
Also on this date, we will be exchanging presents. Each child is to make a gift or find a present without spending more than $1. We'll have a White Elephant gift exchange. To make this fun, it's important to have a variety of presents but nothing that might hurt someone's feelings if they receive it. Please wrap the present and bring it to school by Tuesday, Dec. 22, in the morning. Thank you for helping make this a fun day for us!

Student Council Speeches Were Today

The 6th graders who gave Student Council speeches today were fantastic! Our new officers are Kylie, Ethan, and Kodi. I was so impressed with the speeches this year! We will announce what committee the rest of the students will be a part of on Tuesday.

Remember, midterms are coming home today. If you're not happy with your grade, there is still time to get it up! Get your missing work in before the winter holiday, and then you won't have to worry about it on your days off.

Tomorrow all 6th graders are going on a field trip to the Moss Mansion. It does cost $1.00 to get in. I must have your permission slip and money in order for you to go.

Have a great evening. Stay warm!
